  1. What do you hope to get out of your CREW membership and/or who do you hope to network with? I hope to learn more about the industry and network with other women that want to help build the city and the community. And to continue to pose the question, “What can we all be doing better? What if…?”.
  2. What or Who is your ideal client/customer?” Our ideal customer is one that values what we value: Delivering on our commitments for great outcomes, Displaying integrity of character and work, Communicating openly & honestly, and Taking initiative to find solutions.
  3. What does a typical day consist of for you in your current position? At a high level, my day is Dot-connecting, Bridge-building, Collaborating, Activating, Helping others grow to their fullest potential, Strategizing for future successes, and Innovating within our space. In the trenches, I do a lot of research, listening to people, designing, copywriting, brand building, and moving things forward.
  4. What is your favorite aspect about your job? Favorite aspect is the people I work with – hands down.
  5. What does your company contribute to the commercial real estate industry? We help realize your clients’ visions, but we are more than building. Oswald is a company of genuine people who are willing to help at every turn through what can be considered a stressful albeit exciting time. Oswald is a company of trained construction management professionals who can help guide you from inception through completion of a building project (ie. Conceptual budget and schedule creation through closeout and turnover).
  6. What advice do you have to someone new to the industry? Ask good questions. Read and/or do research. Listen. And always be willing to help someone but help because you have good intentions at heart.
  7. What keeps you busy outside of work?
  • Family (have 3 daughters, 1 husband, 1 dog, 1 hamster, and fish)
  • Home Renovation Projects (this year is dubbed ‘The Year of Painting’)
  • Cooking (I show I care through food – so big pot meals and Grandma’s old recipes are my specialties)
  • Volunteering (eg. multiple non-profits in the Cincinnati area and as a volleyball coach for multiple teams come Fall)
  • Mentoring other Women (co-founded a women’s networking group that is accessible to every professional woman in every industry)
  • Reading (mostly business books - Latest recommendation is ‘Friction’ by Jeff Rosenblum)
